surprising stay

the room was spacious and clean, just as i hoped. on my arrival, the greeting i received was very warm. i found ample free parking, a definite plus. i enjoyed the spa area, especially the jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and the cool pool.
i noticed dust around the reception area, and fingerprints marked the windows near the breakfast area, but it was a small thing in an otherwise pleasant experience.

the staff were exceptionally good; i asked to move rooms, and they were pleasantly served in the bar, restaurant, and at breakfast. their responsiveness and willingness to help improved my stay significantly.

the breakfast was great (especially the variety), and i found the evening meal decent, even if it was a little inconsistent. i noticed there was plenty of choice and fresh ingredients each morning at breakfast.

The swimming pool facilities were acceptable.
My room was not prepared as promised. I requested a bottle of red wine prior to arrival, and it was not in my room upon check-in. I went to the bar to inquire. The bartender seemed doubtful and checked my confirmation. The room's mattress was too hard and offered no comfort.
